One of the Turks & Caicos Islands’ most anticipated sporting traditions returns this March as The Wine Cellar hosts the 15th Annual Wine Cellar Golf & Fishing Tournament. Combining offshore fishing, championship golf, and meaningful community impact, this multi-day event brings together locals, visitors, anglers, and golfers for an unforgettable island experience.
Hosted by The Wine Cellar, Providenciales’ longest-standing wine, spirits, and beer retailer, the tournament has become a signature fixture on the local events calendar — known as much for its camaraderie and celebration as for its competitive spirit.
Fishing Tournament | March 5–7
The weekend begins with a Captain’s Meeting and Calcutta on Thursday evening (March 05), where teams gather ahead of two full days of offshore fishing. Boats depart from Blue Haven Marina in pursuit of prized species including wahoo, mahi-mahi, and tuna.
Each afternoon, vessels return for lively dockside weigh-ins, fish auctions, live entertainment, and food and drink — creating a festive atmosphere for both competitors and spectators. Cash prizes are awarded across multiple categories, with a portion of winnings donated directly to local charities.
Golf Tournament | March 8
The event concludes with an 18-hole scramble tournament at the stunning Royal Turks and Caicos Golf Club. Teams of four compete for trophies, prizes, and bragging rights, with raffles and giveaways adding to the day’s excitement.
Community Impact
Over its 15-year history, the Wine Cellar Golf & Fishing Tournament has raised more than $600,000 for youth and sports-focused charities across Turks & Caicos. A portion of tournament proceeds and winnings is donated each year, reinforcing the event’s strong commitment to giving back to the community.
