BEHIND THE BOTTLE
Meet the winemakers. Taste the wines. Find your favourites.
There’s something different about tasting a wine with the person who made it.
A bottle can tell you where a wine comes from and what’s in the glass. A winemaker can tell you why it tastes the way it does: the decisions made in the vineyard, when the grapes were picked, how the wine was blended and aged, and what they hoped you would experience when you finally poured a glass.
This year’s Caribbean Food & Wine Festival brings two accomplished Napa Valley winemakers to Turks & Caicos, giving local wine lovers two very different opportunities to get closer to the people and stories behind the bottle.
MEET THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE WINE
Niki Williams | Cakebread Cellars
Niki Williams brings experience from some of California’s best-known wine estates to her role at Cakebread Cellars, with a winemaking philosophy centred on balance, elegance and wines that are expressive when young while still having the structure to age.
During Caribbean Food & Wine Festival, guests will have two opportunities to experience Cakebread wines with Niki herself, first at the Meet the Wine Maker Soirée and again at the Women of Wine Lunch.
Jesse Fox | Sequoia Grove Winery
Jesse Fox brings a particularly interesting perspective to wine: before becoming a winemaker, he worked professionally in kitchens.
That culinary background continues to influence his approach at Sequoia Grove, where balance, food-friendliness and the relationship between what’s in the glass and what’s on the plate are an important part of the winemaking philosophy.
TWO WINEMAKERS. ONE EVENING.
Meet The Wine Maker Soirée
Wednesday, November 4, 2026
The Ritz-Carlton, Turks & Caicos
6:30 PM – 8:00 PM | $59 per guest
Meet Niki Williams of Cakebread Cellars and Jesse Fox of Sequoia Grove Winery for an intimate evening devoted to the wines, the people who make them and the stories behind each bottle.
It’s an opportunity to taste two distinctive Napa Valley perspectives side by side, learn directly from the winemakers and ask the questions you don’t normally get to ask when choosing a bottle from the shelf.
WHEN THE WINE MEETS THE TABLE
Women of Wine Lunch
Friday, November 6, 2026
The Shore Club

Two days later, the focus shifts from tasting the wine to experiencing it as it was meant to be enjoyed: at the table.
Join Niki Williams of Cakebread Cellars for an elegant multi-course lunch at The Shore Club, pairing Cakebread wines with a menu designed to show what happens when food and wine work together.
Featured wines include Cakebread Sauvignon Blanc, North Coast 2024 and Cakebread Pinot Noir, Two Creeks Vineyards 2023, taking guests from fresh, vibrant white wine through to a silky, food-friendly Pinot Noir.
